Any
damage caused by a sudden force of nature shall not result in an increase in the assessment when the property is restored or replaced if that property is comparable in value
to its previous condition. Such restoration or replacement may be assessed if the damage resulted in reduction or abatement.
The amount of the abatement or adjustment for substantial threat of damage will remain a judgment factor based on market evidence. (Tax-Property Article, Title 8-230).
