Since it is frequently necessary for the Department to contact the office of the Attorney General for opinions regarding assessment policy and procedures, and since it is necessary to coordinate the work of the various assessment offices, the following procedure is to be followed.

All requests are to be addressed to the Attorney General, to the attention of the Assistant Attorney General assigned to this Department and each request must be signed by the Director or the Deputy Director.

It is imperative that the above procedure be strictly followed; but, this in no way prohibits any office from directly contacting the Assistant Attorney General for advice on routine matters.​
